A local player for your own files, with optional monthly plans. Read the setup requirements before subscribing.

The service and its requirements

The service is operated under the name Cast to Your TV. For support, billing or cancellation requests, contact orders@casttoyourtv.com.

You need a Google Cast-enabled TV or receiver and the local player running on an awake computer on the same network. That computer prepares and serves the files; an iPhone, iPad or Android browser can upload and control playback through it. The hosted account page alone cannot cast files from your phone. See setup instructions.

Use files you own or have permission to play. You are responsible for your content, network access and available disk space. Keep account and player access secure, approve only connections you recognise, and do not expose the local player directly to the internet or interfere with other users or service security.

Pauses and buffering do not use the allowance. Seeking and PDF page changes do not reset it. Images and PDF pages count while visible. A screening allowance is separate from the monthly billing period.

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Stripe Checkout shows the amount and currency before you confirm payment. Where eligible, Stripe offers a local-currency price that includes its conversion fee; the local amount can change with exchange rates at renewal or payment retry. We do not provide a fixed converted quote. Keep your purchase confirmation for your records.

Changes and cancellation

Use Your account → Manage subscription to change or cancel a paid plan through Stripe. Plan changes use immediate prorated billing, with the adjustment shown before confirmation. Access updates after the resulting plan and paid coverage are verified. An unpaid upgrade does not unlock the higher tier.

Ordinary subscription cancellation stops future renewals and keeps access until the end of the paid period. Signing out, disconnecting a player or closing the app does not cancel the subscription. Contact us if you cannot use the billing portal or need help with a charge.

Cooling-off, refunds and your consumer rights

Your statutory rights are preserved. UK consumers normally have a 14-day cooling-off right when entering an online service contract. Starting to use the player does not, by itself, waive applicable cancellation rights. If you want to exercise a legal cancellation right or request a refund for a problem with the service, email orders@casttoyourtv.com with your account email, purchase date and request.

For example: “I wish to cancel my Cast to Your TV subscription contract. My account email is [email], and I subscribed on [date]. My name is [name].” An ordinary period-end cancellation in the portal is separate from a request to exercise a cooling-off right.

We will apply any refund or remedy required by applicable law. Any deduction for service already provided will apply only where legally permitted. These terms do not exclude rights relating to an incorrectly described or faulty service, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. See GOV.UK consumer rights guidance.

Playback and availability

We provide the paid service with reasonable care and skill. Playback also depends on the actual file codecs, your computer, receiver and network. Encrypted, damaged or unsupported files may fail; conversion can take time and need additional disk space. Broad compatibility does not guarantee every file or device, original HDR output, 4K playback or every subtitle font.

The account service needs internet access to confirm playback policy and purchases. An access-verification outage can pause playback while keeping the file loaded. Keep original files and backups: the player’s imported copy is not a backup service.

Information and questions

The privacy notice explains local files, account information, service providers and deletion requests. These terms apply to the service described here; applicable consumer protections take priority where they give you greater rights. Contact orders@casttoyourtv.com if anything about setup, your plan or these terms is unclear.
